October 2023 – Students, parents, and faculty gathered at the College this month to celebrate the achievements of scholarship and bursary recipients and recognize the generosity of donors that support these awards through the Marianopolis Millennium Foundation.

This Celebration of Excellence honoured members of both incoming and graduating classes, including Devon Mansour (’23), the first recipient of the Mark Chartrand Law Scholarship established earlier this year to support students who transition directly from the College to a university law faculty in Quebec or Ontario.

The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the Libby Cahill Book Fund, an initiative to offset textbook costs for students, created to honour Social Science faculty member Dr. Elizabeth Cahill on her retirement. Dr. Cahill passed away earlier this year, but members of her family attended the event in her memory.

After speeches and an awards ceremony, guests had a chance to connect over drinks, food and a jazz performance by music program students Elliott Kobelansky and Patrick-Sebastian Kilmartin.

Congratulations to all our scholarship recipients, and a big thank you to our generous donors, the members of the Selection Committee and the Foundation who dedicate themselves to supporting our students. Your work is essential to the success of our community.
