Social Science Alumni Share Career Insights and Advice

Social Science alumni from a variety of professional backgrounds returned to the College earlier this semester to participate in a career panel.

The panelists discussed how the program helped them adapt to different academic and professional environments, equipping them with the analytical and interpersonal skills needed to build strong networks and connections. They also emphasized the importance of embracing uncertainty and change as real opportunities for career growth and exploration.

Honours Social Science student Norah Ashlee Paulemond found the discussion particularly encouraging. “They highlighted that there is no single career path and that it’s okay to change directions,” said Paulemond. “It’s a reassuring reminder in a society that often values linear success.”

The College would like to thank Annya Cajal ’13, Guidance Counsellor and Psychotherapist at the Montreal Therapist Center; Ousmane Diagne ’18, Litigation Attorney at Levesque Jurisconsult Inc.; Sydney Erickson ’14, Writer and Book Reviewer; and Jordan Kruger ’15, President and Co-Founder at laTHÉ Inc. for taking the time to meet with our students.
