April 2024 – Two exceptional Marianopolis students were recognized at an awards ceremony by the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec this month.

Graduating students Émilie Anson and Sunny Yang received the 2024 Quebec Lieutenant-Governor Youth Medal for their contributions to their communities.

Émilie Anson excelled academically and remained a positive influence on her classmates in the Social Science – Commerce program despite facing exceptional circumstances and adversity. She will be attending the Université de Montréal Faculty of Law this fall.

Honours Health Science student Sunny Yang made important contributions to student government and clubs while also volunteering at the Montreal Chinese Hospital and learning American Sign Language. He has been admitted to health science programs at McGill University and l’Université de Montréal.

Congratulations to Emilie and Sunny on their inspiring journeys and this well-deserved recognition. The Marianopolis community wishes them continued success as they pursue promising new opportunities!
